  • Vicentes Museum of Photography - Madeira

    The Casa Museu Photografia Vicentes is the former residence and atelier of Vicente Gomes da Silva.  Vicente began his work around 1850 when he began working with daguerreotypes. 

    His former studio houses over 380,000 glass plates and negatives as well as a variety of equipment used by him and other artists.  His photos range from tranquil landscapes to important historical events.
