Unknown to many, Christopher Columbus lived, married and had a child in the town of Porto Santo. The museum is housed in what is believed to be the explorer's former residence. He left the island, shortly after the death of his wife, with many great ideas in his head.
The museum houses many different maps from the 16th to 20th century of routes that Columbus sailed.
