The "Casa da Luz" is one of the most enchanting museums on the island. This museum was established in 1997 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of introduction of electricity on the island.
The museums main topics are the lights of Funchal, the century of electricity on the island, energy sources in Madeira as well as a fun science and technology section. As a visitor you will have the opportunity to play with all the old equipment that helped to spread electricity around the island.
